Based in Farnborough in Hampshire and Sheffield, Bartec specialises in the supply, delivery, installation and support of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging equipment and accessories throughout Europe.

We have a thirty year history of supplying and servicing the human health, veterinary and research sectors offering unique experience and expertise in the medical imaging industry.  Our company is the sole UK supplier of Mediso imaging systems, including the innovative and award winning, triple modality AnyScan (PET/CT/SPECT).

Sales Executive (UK)

The Role

As part of the Sales team, you will work across our whole product range, in particular, our life sciences and pre-clinical range. Your role will involve working with customers across the academic, pharma and biotech industry to understand their needs and provide solutions from our products. There will also be an expectation for you to perform some product Applications support to customers. This role is home/head office based with extensive travel throughout the UK. You will ideally be located near our Group head office located in Sheffield with regular travel to our Farnborough head office.

Responsibilities

  • Attending and presenting at trade shows and customer facilities both with colleagues and individually.
  • Maintaining and increasing face to face customer interaction with efficient planning and appointment management.
  • Keeping customer records accurate and up to date using the Company CRM regularly, including brief reports of all visits.
  • Securing new business for our range of partner products with organisations across your UK territory.
  • Achieving and growing total revenue consistent with company and individual goals.

Requirements

Essential

  • Be a confident and influential communicator
  • Science degree – life sciences or healthcare science based is preferable
  • Experience in sales including generating own leads (from emails, telephone calls, events, and introductions)
  • Experience in managing and retaining relationships with stakeholders
  • Have a Full UK driving licence and comfortable with extensive UK travel, including some oversees travel
  • Have a high level of self-organisation with a proactive approach to the role
  • Have an excellent telephone manner
  • Due to the requirement for international travel, applicants must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19
  • Practical laboratory skills and some experience in a research environment

Desirable

  • Good problem-solving skills

Service Engineer (UK)

The Role

We are looking for an additional field service engineer to join our service team, providing field service, field repairs, remote technical support and occasional training to our customers. This will primarily involve travel within the north of the UK to support our northern installations (e.g. Edinburgh to Nottingham) with occasional trips to European destinations.
The candidate will be responsible for supporting any of the Bartec sites with a fairly wide variety of nuclear medical and molecular imaging equipment (toolkit and full training will be provided). The candidate will be in direct communication with the customer or user and will be responsible for arranging and performing regular maintenance visits, answering customer queries and responding to reported faults by identifying system issues and making system on-site repairs. All work will be carried out within the company ISO standards.
This position will be based out of the candidate’s home-based office with occasional visit to the LabLogic Sheffield office or the Bartec office based in Farnborough Hampshire.
This is a great opportunity to join a small company working on some leading-edge medical imaging equipment, ideally suited to someone with previous experience of a support role nature and previous experience of medical equipment and computers.

Responsibilities

  • Preventative maintenance, upgrades, fault diagnosis and repairs of system installations
  • Remote support for technical queries or fixing of issues
  • Liaising with customers to arrange site visits
  • Coordinate and prioritise tasks as required by the service manager
  • Prepare service reports, maintain timesheet
  • Work within company ISO procedures

Requirements

  • 2+ years professional experience in a technical support background
  • Must be highly motivated and have strong problem-solving ability
  • Experience in medical industry and/or mechanical industry
  • Experience in electronics, computers and software will be a strong advantage
  • Knowledge or experience of nucleonics will be an advantage
  • Frequent travel required, weekdays maybe with overnight stays
  • Due to the requirement for international travel, applicants must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Must have valid driving licence
